Easy Pizzagna (Pizza Lasagna) Recipe

Pizzagna is the ultimate comfort food mashup — all the cheesy, meaty flavors of pizza layered into a delicious lasagna-style bake. This easy recipe uses no-boil lasagna sheets, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, and loads of mozzarella cheese for a family-friendly dinner everyone will love!

Ingredients

  • 6 no-boil lasagna sheets
  • 1 jar of preferred pasta sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¾ cup pepperoni slices, diced
  • ¾ cup Canadian bacon or cooked pizza sausage, diced

How to Make Pizzagna

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Dice the pepperoni and Canadian bacon slices. You can also use cooked sausage or any favorite pizza topping.
  3. Spread about ½ cup of pasta sauce evenly over the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Place two lasagna sheets into the dish, leaving a little room between them (they will expand as they cook).
  5. Spoon a thin layer of sauce over the lasagna sheets.
  6. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese and diced pizza meat over the sauce.
  7. Layer two more lasagna sheets on top and repeat the sauce, cheese, and meat layers.
  8. Add the final two lasagna sheets, another layer of sauce, and top generously with cheese and meat.
  9. Pour extra sauce around the sides of the pizzagna to ensure all the lasagna sheets are covered with moisture.
  10. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake on the middle oven rack for 35 minutes.
  11. After 35 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes uncovered.
  12. Remove from the oven and let the pizzagna cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • No-boil lasagna sheets require plenty of moisture to cook properly. Make sure there is enough sauce around and between the layers.
  • Feel free to customize your pizzagna with additional toppings like mushrooms, olives, or extra cheese blends.
  • Letting the pizzagna rest after baking helps it set and makes slicing easier.
