Mini Cherry Cheese Danishes

These Mini Cherry Cheese Danishes are a sweet, creamy, and fruity treat that’s perfect for brunch, dessert, or even a special breakfast. Using crescent roll dough as the base makes them incredibly easy to assemble, while the cream cheese filling and cherry topping create a bakery-style flavor right at home!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 1 package of crescent roll dough (Pillsbury recommended)
  • 1–2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for dusting)

For the Filling:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup powdered or granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

For the Glaze & Topping:

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar (for sprinkling)
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with greased parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and cut into 15 equal slices.
  3. Place slices on the prepared baking sheet. Press each piece flat with a measuring cup or glass bottom.
  4. Shape the edges with your fingers to create shallow wells for the filling.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  6. Spoon a small amount of cream cheese filling into the center of each dough round.
  7. Add 4–5 cherries on top of the cream cheese mixture in each Danish.
  8. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before glazing.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk to create a smooth glaze, then drizzle over cooled Danishes.

Serving Tip

These are best served fresh the same day, but they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Warm slightly before serving for best flavor.
