Polish Sausage, Sauerkraut, and Potatoes (Crockpot)
A hearty, flavorful dish that practically makes itself! With tender potatoes, tangy sauerkraut, and smoky Polish sausage, this crockpot meal is perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends.
Ingredients
- 5–6 medium gold potatoes, cut into large chunks
- 16 oz. sauerkraut
- 1 ½ lb. Polish sausage, cut into large pieces
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp. caraway seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Place the sauerkraut into the bottom of the crockpot.
- Layer the potatoes on top of the sauerkraut, followed by the sausage.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, caraway seeds, and bay leaf.
- Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the crockpot, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover with the lid and cook on high for 4 hours.
- Stir everything together before serving. Enjoy warm!
