
All the flavors of your favorite fast-food burger, lightened up and packed with protein. This Big Mac Cheeseburger Protein Bowl layers seasoned beef, crisp lettuce, pickles, and cheddar with a creamy Greek-yogurt “Mac” sauce — meal-prep friendly and seriously satisfying.
Ingredients
- 1 lb extra-lean ground beef (93% or 96% lean)
- 4 cups shredded romaine lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup dill pickle chips
- 1/2 cup reduced-fat shredded sharp cheddar
- Salt, pepper, and garlic powder, to taste
- 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt (Mac sauce)
- 2 tbsp sugar-free ketchup (Mac sauce)
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard (Mac sauce)
- 1 tbsp pickle juice (Mac sauce)
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (Mac sauce)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder (Mac sauce)
- Optional: sesame seeds, fresh chives or green onions
Instructions
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; drain the fat and cool slightly.
- Whisk all the sauce ingredients until smooth.
- Divide the lettuce among four meal-prep containers.
- Top with the onion, tomatoes, and pickles, then the beef and cheddar.
- Drizzle with the Mac sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chives.
- Refrigerate up to 4 days — keep the sauce separate if you plan to reheat the beef.
